Every day Ibra trains like it’s matchday and every matchday he proves
that he’s a real champion Say Djamel Eddine Mesbah
The Sweden
international has scored five goals in nine appearances against the Flying
Donkeys and the 48-year-old has revealed that his primary focus will be on
trying to contain the Rossoneri's talismanic striker.
"Ibrahimovic always seems to
score against us," Di Carlo sighed to the press. "You either man-mark
him or do your best to cover all of the space around him."
ADRIANO GALLIANI
"Ibrahimovic i san
extraordinary palyer but I’m really enjoying the performances of Robinho and El
Shaarawy who always makes an impact on the pitch. It was a big performance
tonight
ZLATAN
IBRAHIMOVIC
"I’m very happy. After three
matches out, the game went very well both for me and for the team. We’re playing
at our best at the moment with a lot of confidence. We’re playing the way we
want to and we’re always dangerous up front. It’s my second hat-trick in Italy,
goals are a bonus for me. They were all important goals. Palermo were pressing
forward before I got my second. I was disappointed not to play against
Juventus. I suffered and I paid for it. The team did well without me anyway. We
deserved to win last Saturday as well. Now on Tuesday we have another game and
we hope to continue what we did here today. When Galliani went to Barcelona, he
said he wouldn’t leave without me. That gave me a lot of confidence and I owe
him a lot. The fans have to keep on helping the team and we’ll keep on doing
our best to make them happy.”
LUCA ANTONINI
Ibra is too
much. He’s really a phenomenon. We missed him a lot, You can feel it when he’s
on the pitch.”
DJAMEL MESBAH
"I’m happy with the win. My
compliments to the team and especially Ibrahimovic. It was a dangerous game, we
hadn’t won here for 6 years.
URBY EMANUELSON
I’m happy because we won and we played a great game. Ibrahimovic scored a splendid hat trick.”
MASSIMILIANO
ALLEGRI
Ibra is doing
great things. He’s in a rich vein of form. The three match ban did him good.”
The goalkeeper,
who was outstanding in the last round home and away against Arsenal, said that
although there is expectation on the Swede, it is natural given his
performances.
He said: “He has
been our main man and everyone expects the game against Barcelona to be Ibra’s
match and so do we.”
Three-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi has again been in sensational form for Barcelona this season, having only last week become the Catalan club's all-time record goalscorer, while Ibrahimovic's performances for AC Milan have drawn comparisons with Rossoneri legend Marco van Basten.
"Messi and Ibra, we're talking about two of the three best players in the world, along with Cristiano Ronaldo," the former AC Milan and Inter centre-back told.
"Ibra needs a team built around him; Messi is perfect when fitted to a mechanism, such as Barcelona, playing with a ball on the ground and positioned up front.
"Maybe Messi is more of a
finisher, even though Ibra, at least this year, is scoring goals in bunches."
“Barça are the best team when
they are on the field but this tie will decide who will pass the turn and Milan
have the opportunity to do pass them. Right now Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of
the strongest players in the world along with Messi and Ronaldo. Zlatan will
definitely create problems to Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique and Milan have the
ability to delete Barcelona’s favoritism and try to win this ‘final’,”
Albertini added.
The former
midfielder was part of the Milan squad which defeated Barcelona in the 1994
final 4-0 to win the Champions League. That Milan squad lacked some key players
– just like this Milan squad lacks.

Centre-back Gerard Pique admitted his Barcelona team-mates will have to be wary of AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic when the teams clash in the Champions League quarter-final first leg here on Wednesday.
The big Swede
spent one season at Barca, where he won the Spanish title, before allegedly
falling out with coach Pep Guardiola.
He was sold to
Milan where he became an instant hit, despite previous spells at their main
rivals Inter Milan and Juventus.
Although
Ibrahimovic's Catalan experience went sour, Pique still holds him in very high
regard.
"Ibra is a very difficult
opponent," said the former Manchester United defender.
"He's a complete player --
he's good in the air, he can play on the floor, he came play with his back to
goal and hold the ball up.
"We'll have to be very
concentrated so we don't make any mistakes or leave space when he has the ball.
"It's a pleasure to play
against him as he's one of the best players in the world right now. It was a pleasure
to have him at Barcelona and he contributed to our success.
"We will do everything to
ensure he doesn't play well or score but it's not just our defence but the
whole team that will have to play well to contain him."
“I expect the best possible
Milan, as they have many options and will play to win. They are among the best
teams in the world and have some excellent players, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic,”
said Guardiola.
Ibra famously
clashed with Guardiola during their time together at Barcelona and after a
certain point were no longer on speaking terms.
“Ibra had an extraordinary
year in Barcelona, helping us in the Liga and the Champions League. Without him
we would not have achieved everything we did. He has always done well in every
club and I have fond memories of his time at Barça.
“It will not be Ibrahimovic
against Barcelona, as we are playing against Milan, the club with the most
international trophies in the world. Coming to play at San Siro is an honour.
